The architecturally-striking Al Zubarah Fort is exquisitely preserved, with distinctly Qatari turrets, three-foot-thick walls and ground-floor iwan (small porticos overlooking the courtyard through square arcades). Inside the building, you will find an exhibition of artifacts such as pottery, and other objects found on recent digs in the area.
Located in the heart to Doha, Al Koot Fort, is a square, white stone fort originally built in the 1800's. Over the years it has served as a jail, police station and more notably as a museum housing numerous artefacts and artworks.
