Q. Are the website accommodation rates per person or per room?

The prices depend on the hotel you are booking. Most hotels are sold on an occupancy basis. This will be shown in the description of the room type (Single or Double Occupancy). Some rooms will be sold on a room basis, which means they can be used for single or double occupancy without a price change.

Q. Do the rates include all taxes and fees?

Tax is currently not applied to hotel accommodation in Qatar – our rates include all applicable charges. Should there be any changes to the tax laws in respect of hotel accommodation within the country of destination, and in line with our Accommodation Sales Regulations, MATCH Hospitality may review and update the selling rates accordingly, and additional fees may be charged in line with our Terms and Conditions of Sale.

Q. What currency will be used for my booking?

Please be advised that the transaction will be processed in USD, and your invoice will reflect the USD amount. All bank charges, payment charges, currency conversion charges, currency exchange control charges, credit card charges and any other charges incurred in connection with any payment obligation on the part of the Customer will (to the extent permitted by applicable law) be the sole responsibility of, and be borne by, the Customer.

Q. What are my payment terms for accommodation?

Should a Customer opt to pay for their Confirmed Rooms in instalments, the Price of each Confirmed Room which is subject to the Accommodation Sales Regulations concluded on the following dates will be due and payable as follows.

 

  1. When the confirmation of Purchase is issued on or before 30 April 2021, payment will be due and payable in four (4) instalments.

  1. ten percent (10%) being due and payable immediately during the online checkout;

  2. a further twenty percent (20%) being due and payable on or before 01 June 2021;

  3. a further thirty percent (30%) being due and payable on or before 31 January 2022; and

  4. a further forty percent (40%) being due and payable on or before 01 July 2022.

 

  1. When the Confirmation of Purchase is issued between 01 May 2021 and 31 December 2021 payment will be due and payable in three (3) instalments:

  1. thirty percent (30%) being due and payable immediately during the online checkout;

  2. thirty percent (30%) being due and payable on or before 31 January 2022; and

  3. forty percent (40%) being due and payable on or before 01 July 2022.

 

  1. When the Confirmation of Purchase is issued between 01 January 2022 and 30 June 2022 payment will be due and payable in two (2) instalments:

  1. sixty percent (60%) being due and payable immediately during the online checkout; and

  2. forty percent (40%) being due and payable on or before 01 July 2022.

Q. How many people can stay in the room I have booked?

Only the number of people confirmed during your booking can stay in the room. If you book for one person, only one person can stay in the room.  Single occupancy allows one person and double occupancy allows two people. Where rooms can host more than two people, you will be able to select a higher occupancy online (with additional cost) while making your online booking.

Q. Can a double room also be offered/used as a twin room?

No. When the room type is stated as a double room, it has one double bed. If a room type has two beds, it will be listed as a twin room on our website, brochure and Confirmation of Purchase.

Q. Do I have to book for minimum numbers of nights?

The minimum booking for online sales depends on your chosen hospitality package, as listed below:

For specific matches (except Semi-Finals and Final): 2 nights per match

For Team Specific Series: 5 nights for a Group Match or a Round of 16 match

3 nights for a Quarter Final match

7 nights for a Final Round Series Package (Semi-Finals and Final)

Please note the minimum night booking policy is subject to change, therefore please ensure you read and understood the sales policies and conditions at the time of booking.

Q. Is there a limit on the number of nights I can book?

Yes. MATCH Hospitality wants to fulfil all requests from ticket-inclusive package holders. Therefore, customers can request dates and number of rooms in line with their hospitality packages.

An accommodation booking should match the number of hospitality packages booked, i.e. one room per package. The room may however be booked for double occupancy, for example when travelling with a spouse.

Q. Who can use the reserved room?

Only the customer and their named guest(s) on your booking confirmation can use the reservation. The guest will need to provide identification (Passport or photo ID) that matches the name on the reservation. If the name on the reservation does not match the ID you or your guest(s) may not be given access to the purchased room. Please note, that guest data will not be collected at the time of making your hotel reservation. However, MATCH Hospitality may ask the customer for the names, dates and other necessary details of the guest(s) using the Confirmed Room.

Q. How can I cancel or change my accommodation booking?

Once an online booking has been confirmed, no cancellation will be permitted. Should you require special assistance, please contact our customer service team at 2022.customerservice@match-hospitality.com.

Q. Can I book a room for a disabled person?

Q. I am travelling with children; how should I process my booking?

Bookings can be made only based on occupancy (number of adults and children) and subject to availability. For guests wishing to share a bedroom with their children, please contact MATCH Hospitality’s customer service at 2022.customerservice@match-hospitality.com for assistance.

Q. Is there a limit on the number of persons which I can book per room?

You cannot exceed the maximum occupancy available to book online. If the maximum occupancy for a reserved room is 3 people, you can only accommodate 3 people in this room. Any additional guests will be refused.

Q. Is there a limit on the number of rooms which I can book?

Yes. You are able to book the same number of rooms as per the Hospitality packages you have booked, i.e. one room per package. The room may however be booked for double occupancy, for example when travelling with a spouse.

Q. I cannot find any availability for accommodation on the dates requested. What should I do?

Our availability may change. Please try again at a later date or select alternative suitable dates. If you require any assistance, please contact our customer service team at 2022.customerservice@match-hospitality.com.

Q. Can I make additional accommodation bookings using a different email address?

The email address provided by you (the client) identifies your user account and access to this account will display any bookings made using that specific email address. If the email address linked to your account is no longer active or valid, please notify us at 2022.customerservice@match-hospitality.com and we will update your account on your behalf. Please note that we reserve the right to request identity documents to verify your identity.

Q. I wish to stay longer than the dates presented to me during the order process, why does the system not allow this?

Accommodation bookings are subject to a certain minimum number of nights required to be booked (“Minimum Stay Requirement”) as well as a certain maximum number of nights that may be booked (“Maximum Permissible Stay”), details of which will be set out in the Application Process. MATCH Hospitality wants to fulfil all requests from ticket-inclusive hospitality package holders. Therefore, the customer may only request dates and number of rooms in line with the dates of the matches within their hospitality packages.
