The FIFA Women's World Cup 2023™ is jointly hosted by two countries, Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand, and held for the first time in the Southern Hemisphere.
Australia is known for its friendly citizens and natural wonders, including the Outback desert and Great Barrier Reef. The coastal regions are dotted with cosmopolitan and diverse urban centres and its pristine and swimmable beaches, while inland is typified by wide open spaces and immense skies. Australians are renowned for their passion for sports, and the great outdoors, meaning guests can expect an atmospheric tournament, plenty to see and do, and a warm welcome.
Aotearoa New Zealand is a land of contrasts – beaches, snow-capped mountains, incredible nature reserves, and trendy youthful cities. This group of pacific islands offers visitors the best of both: lively cities and incredible landscapes. Aotearoa New Zealanders also enjoy a reputation as fierce sportspeople and sports fans, in addition to their friendly hospitality. In addition to the on-pitch action, Aotearoa New Zealand offers visitors the chance to explore glacier-carved mountains, thermal springs, beautiful hikes, beaches and lakes, or a broad range of historic and cultural centres.
